If you had an older 32 bit version, you need to clear off the 32 bit version totally, then reinstall the codecs:

Looks like i do have the 32-bit version (of R15) installed.

Can i just confirm that the instructions in the link will uninstall the 32-bit codecs only, or will following them install everything (thus requiring me to reinstall R15 to maintain my registered version/state, followed by R16 Beta)?

Run the linked program, then install R15 64 bit, then R16 64 bit.

I supposed that is a workaround, but I was hoping to be able to test the 64-bit version.

I've finally got round to doing this...But unfortunately i'm still unable to convert to WMA (Lossless).

I'm trying to convert from ALAC to WMA Lossless, but get an error on when converting, with the error reading "Windows Media Audio 10: Error Starting WMA Writing (unknown reason). (clEncoder::BeginConversion)"

Any ideas what is causing this, or how i can get it converting again?

Can you still convert from ALAC to something else e.g. flac, without getting an error?

    Hey Spoon,

I have questions regarding your post "Batch Converting For Car", or to be concretely regarding this two sentences:

dBpoweramp will be setup to write the files to a location on the HDD, and later as new music is added to my main collection, Batch Converter will convert just the new files, saving time.
The conditional encoding effect enables Batch Converter to be loaded at a later date and only new tracks (which match filter) to be encoded, saving time.

How will Batch converter detect new files or new tracks?

Will the algorithm do something like a sync:
    - convert sources missing at the destination,
    - convert sources that are younger (creation timestamp or modification timestamp) than existing destinations,
    - delete obsolete files at the destination?
That would be very helpful in case one has edited metadata for one's lossless source files and want to update the lossy copies in several collections.

Is it possible to overwrite the feature to convert all files and not only new files?

It is the DSP Effect Conditional Encode. You can set to skip the file, unless the source is older than destination. However there is no way to delete obsolete files.

What timestamp decides on newer or older? Creation or modification date?

And if it is the modification date, will dBpa consequently update the modification date in the future, if one edits the metadata?

Is modification date, editing tags updates the modified date.

AMG is out at the moment? Or will it stay like this?
I had a lot of completely wrong composer entries with the new beta... (songwriter details are very important to me when I tag my collection)

AMG support will be discontinued: clickclack!

Isn't that a problem of the databse content, but not the dBpa version?
