Is the AAC artwork embedded, a single file, or most likely, neither and the artwork exists in the iTunes library only and dBpoweramp does not have access to it?

If the artwork is not embedded or a single file, you'll have to extract the artwork from the iTunes library manually. I believe someone has written a script to do this. Search the forums here. If I am right, there is a thread detailing this exact same issue
