Re: Asset / QNAP TS... configuration problem + Artist invisible

Well, i don't have a drop box account but will do it as soon as i can and upload a file or even some.

But i just found something which increase my trouble even more 0_o. On the "Playlists" in Asset, there is one generated by Asset itself named "Most popular Artists" or something like that, on top "Ministry Of Sound" artist is there!? And when you touch, all the albums appear in the right way. It means that the albums should be indexed right by the software but i still don't get why they do not appear in the Album/Artist ....

    Does that help ?

Thank you to help me !

    Regards.

Link done, you should find it in your mailbox.

And in the lists generated by Asset, it is in "Top Artist".

      Thank you.

I am running R4.5.1 beta on my qnap, I added the Dido track and waited a few minutes and it appeared under both artist and album artist.

Install the control point Kinsky on an ipad if you have one, this will browse Asset and show exactly what it is giving out at a given time.

Kinsky installed on iPhone and shows exactly the same as Naimstream (Naim now). All these albums are still missing and they appear only throught the list "top artist". Is there a bug in my database ? Shall i restart it? If yes, how to do it?
          Thank you.

Have you re-scanned the library in Asset UPnP configuration, with Refresh All?

If you have re-scanned the library, you have inconsistent, Artist, Artist Sort or Album Artist, Album Artist Sort tags. Probably a sort tag beginning with "Or", hence the artist appearing between Orchestre Philarmonique and Orlando Cachaito.

Yes that's what i did. How can i resolve the sorting? Where do i find this tag?

In fact, the number of files didn't change but the number of albums grew. So well, what shall i do ?

                Thx

Finally, the number of album didn't changed. Just for a short while and came back to the original number.

It is possible there is a sort tag for this ministry of sound on a different file, and it is being placed into the sort location. If you have a Windows PC install PerfectTUNES and it can check all sort tags for any given artist.

I have only a Macintosh :/ Any other idea ?

Explain me where this tag should be. Where is the sort location. Just in a tag in one file of the ministry ?

How did you originally create your flac audio library?

... and how were these ripped albums tagged, by Naim's ripping app?

yes for the rips and i did myself with tag app for some others whebn they were not correct. Don't foget that i also changed the Naim's rip in the "artist" filed for ministry of sound instead of artist to group all the compilations in the same artist.

Does the Naim ripping app create any sort tags? How do you view any tags on your Mac?
