Why clear it? it needs to be able to write to some location.

Because I have the wrong folder location in there.
I get this old location when I try to convert some files:Could not access destination folder:
      Desktop/Move to MUSIC HD UnProcessed Fldr./Everly.Brother-100.Hits.Legends.5.CD.BOXSET.2000.FLAC.Tracks.Loss less/everly brothers - 100 hits legends-disc 1
If it is a network share, please make sure it is accessible.

Click the 'Browse' button next to it and choose a different path. Note if using some encoders, such as Multi Encoder, you do not set folder on the main page, rather on the multi encoder settings page.

I don't see a browse button otherwise I would have tried that.

The apple version does not have browse button, instead you click the value its self. However this is disabled with certain encoders, such as multi-encoder.

            Which encoder are you using?

The box next to "Folder:" is your output folder. Click it to choose the folder you want to convert to.

The box next to "Dynamic" contains dynamic file name generation pattern. It is valid together with the output folder but only when "Dynamic" mode is checked. It is disabled when "Folder" mode is checked as it has no meaning in such case (conversion preserves original file names). Not sure why it says "unititled folder" for you.

I put the Untitled folder there. When I check Dynamic and try to convert FLAC to AIFF I get "Error reading metadata. I hope I can get this fixed I have many likes to convert. Thanks for the attention and help so far.

FYI: The encoder is what's listed at the top of the dialog box...the "Converting To:" parameter. Your image shows that you are using the AIFF encoder.

OK thats what I want it to decode to. Is that correct? But I'm getting this error "Error Reading metadata"

There's no "right" answer to the encoder question....there are many encoders in dBp because users have different needs, depending on their particular players, etc. Is there a reason you want/need to convert your existing FLAC files to AIFF? Need compatibility with the Apple universe. for example? (If so, I'd actually recommend ALAC, but that's another topic. )

As for the error, it may have to do with the source file. Are these FLAC files ones that you ripped yourself? Do they play properly, and your player(s) can read & display their metadata? You could post a file here and some of us can try to replicate the error.

Correct, make sure that dBpoweramp has read access to the files, it looks like it might not have this access to open the files.
