I cannot see my NAS to set the PATH for ripping

Setting up new Win 7 PC. I have a QNAP NAS on the network. I want to rip to this NAS from CD Ripper. When I try to select the NAS from the PATH button it does not appear under NETWORK.

I can ping it and I can set the correct PATH on the old Win Vista machine and on my Win 7 laptop (all on the same network).

I assume there is a Win 7 setting that I've missed...

It's not just in CD Ripper that the problem exists. When I When I open Windows Explorer the NAS does not show up under the network tab but it's listed as a Media Device and a Storage device.

    Thanks.

Try logging into the NAS, and make sure that network shares are enabled on the NAS.

One way would be to give the share a "Drive" letter.

Open up Qfinder (download from QNAP website if you haven't already) and in the Tools menu you will see the option to "Map Network Drive"

Follow the instructions and select the share where your music is stored and the drive letter you wish to use.

You will now be able to see it to select in dBpoweramp and also in Windows Explorer.
