dBPowerAmp for Mac : problem (?) with EBU R128 ?

    Hello all,

I use R15.2 for Mac. I've re-encoded all my FLAC library (to FLAC of course) with EBU R128 loudness stuff (I've let -23dB).
It seems to work but all my album don't have the same loudness as I thought it should be...

I thought that EBU R128 would make all album play at the same loudness (I use replaygain album).

Is this normal or is it a dBPowerAmp issue ?

I thank you fior your help

    Regards,

    Eric

The replaygain DSP effect only writes ID tags which a compatible player can use to set the volume. What is your player?

      Thanks for your answer

I use Music Player Daemon (it supports RG), and Cantata as a client to listen to music

        Try as a test:

Then you can be sure the replaygain is applied (you might have to configure it).

Thanks Spoon. It works fine with Music Player Daemon now that I've set it the right way.

I have another question : I assume that RG value is set to 89dB, right ? The problem is that audio too quiet now. Is there a way to change this value in dBpowerAmp R15.2 for Mac please ?

          Regards,

          Eric

Edit : I'd like to set it to 95 dB

It is your -23db, if you set to -18 for example.
