    External Drive Failing to Rip - Win8

    When my internal CD/DVD drive failed I purchased an LG BE14NU40 BluRay USB3.0 drive. I can play audio and video from the drive. But I cannot rip from the drive. This is the sort of error I get for every track:

    Error ripping to FLAC, 'Track 2' to 'C:\Users\ChadHarrisonFord\Music\Amy Winehouse\Back To Black\02 Amy Winehouse - You Know I'm No Good.flac'
    Unable to read CD, check CD disc (frame LBA 16121 ripping 26 frames track end LBA 35410) [clRipperSecure::Rip]

    I have switched between all of my USB3.0 and USB2.0 ports; no luck. I have switched between CDs I've ripped previously with the internal drive and CDs I haven't ripped at all (they're piling up!). I've tried ripping in Multi-Encoder or just FLAC or MP3; no luck. I've tried ripping to different hard drives on my PC; no luck.

    Having discovered a similar issue with an external drive in the forums I did as Spoon recommended and set the Debug on. The following is the output. Would someone assist in reading this and, perhaps, determining a solution?

    Try CD Ripper >> Options >> Communication set to 'Windows internal'

        Spoon,

        I set the Option as you suggested and tried it again...It failed. The debug follows:

        Splitting Command Line:Done
        ->-> [dBCoreConverter::ReaddBCommandFile]
        <-<- [dBCoreConverter::ReaddBCommandFile]

        <-<- [cldBCodecHandler::LoadEncoder]
        BatchID [clEncoder::Set]
        ->-> [dBCoreConverter::StripCoreConverterCmds]
        <-<- [dBCoreConverter::StripCoreConverterCmds]

          Can any other program rip with this drive?

            None can. They all fail.
