Error while ripping a CD: Unable to read CD TOC
Hi, I have download the dBpoweramp music converter product using the free version (21 days for free) to see if I will buy the full one but I am facing the following issues.
It seems that my CD drive is not recognized: CD drive D: [Unknown - Unknown]
Here are the details of my CD drive: TSST Corp DVD-Rom TS-H353C
When trying another way, I got the following message:
Error converting to FLAC ....Unable to read CD TOC, Audio CD in drive?
I can read CDs on my PC and listen to them. I have tried to rip other CDs, and always the same error message pops-up.
Any idea what I should do?
Many thanks

Which Windows version do you have?
Try right click on CD Ripper >> Run as Administrator

Re: Error while ripping a CD: Unable to read CD TOC
Thanks for the heads-up Spoon. I am not local administrator for the moment, but will manage to be one in the coming days to try to solve the issue. I am currently on Windows XP (SP3).
I was initially told that dBpoweramp is not available on Mac, which sounds not to be the case, as I can see here. Can we rip in a FLAC format while using the dBpoweramp on a Mac?
Many thanks,

Re: Error while ripping a CD: Unable to read CD TOC
I am now in Windows 7, as a local administrator, and everything works fine. I am able to rip CDs; the product is user-friendly. I like it and will buy shortly the full version. Many thanks for your support.
