"genre" changed and unable to be changed back in Edit ID-Tag

I installed the dBPowerAmp 15.2 update and notice now in Windows Explorer all my genre's have changed from what I made them. Went to change them back in [right click menu] Edit ID-Tag and they wont update.

    * any previous "genre" with a "70s" in it is now "Trailer"
any previous "genre" with a "80s" in it is now "Folk"
any previous "genre" with a "90s" in it is now "Avantgarde"
any previous "genre" with a "50s" in it is now "Darkwave"

Interestingly, in MediaMonkey and MP3Tag, the files still have the original genre. All settings in iTunes and MediaMonkey restrict file naming so it isn't those programs.

I think the original genre's are really there but Windows 7 and dBPowerAmp are mis-identifying the genres with numbers, as listed in the code above*.
How do I get Windows and dBPowerAmp to interpret the proper genre listed in each song?

    yes, all mp3 files.

    more data:
all songs with "30s" in the genre tag are now changed to "fusion"
all songs with "20s" in the genre tag are now changed to "alternative"

It's partially fixed... The folders containing my music now show the proper Genre... Yay!

but if I do a search over a group of these folders, search results still come back with strange genre's like "Avantgarde" when it's supposed to be "90s". It's only in the search box though, because when I highlight one of the files and right click to Open Folder, in the folder the file shows the correct genre.

One more nit, opening folders with my music takes a lot longer to load with dbPoweramp installed than with it uninstalled.

It is likely the search is caching, as we only give out 1 value.
