    Improvement Suggestion

    Dear Spoon,

I'd like to have the possibility to edit a second CD's meta data while ripping a CD. I use two drives.

    Thank you.

    Bye,

Try Batch Ripper, it will allow this.

Better yet.....edit the last-ripped CD's metadata in a dedicated tag editor (like mp3tag) while dBp is busy ripping the next CD.

          Hi there,

that's not what I wanted. I'd like to press the rip button and then switch the drive name so I can correct the meta data of the CD in annother drive before I rip this one.

You do know that you can open two instances of the ripper, and rip two CD's at one time. I do it all the time. Fix the metadata one the first, start it ripping, then fix the data on the second CD, then start it ripping. When the first is done, put in a new CD and repeat.

              Hi there,

uh, no! But thank you for that really perfect tip.

I remember that I tried that many years ago. In those days that was definitely not possible. Then that point got out of sight.

I have routinely run three instances of the ripper, and on occasion four instances without difficulty (except when the NAS was running an antivirus scan...) three or four Cd drives, three monitors.
