Batch converter not recognizing audio files

I trialled an earlier version (?12) without difficulty. Yesterday I purchased the latest version (15). Before installing it, I uninstalled the previous version. Now when I try to run Batch Converter, I get a message saying "No audio files selected for conversion." Finding a similar post here from 2012, I uninstalled, restarted Windows (v7 SP1), and reinstalled: still the same. The files are a mixture of FLAC and MP3 so it's not linked to a specific codec. Any suggestions, please?

You are able to browse to and select music files in Batch Converter?

It could be a permissions issue, right click on Batch Converter >> Run as Administrator

I can browse down to subfolder level, but no music files appear.

I've done as you suggested an run as Administrator, but with the same result.

What music type are your audio files?

A mixture, mainly MP3 and FLAC, as I said in the original post.

No, on an external hard drive, which worked with the previous version.

Copy some of the files to the music folder on C:, then browse to the music folder, can they now be seen?

Okay - I've tried that. Same problem. I can see them in Windows Explorer, but not in Batch Converter.

                    Browse Batch Converter to:

                    c:\Windows\Media

does it list the files in there?

Then 100% something on the system is stopping dBpoweramp from accessing the real files. Try to disable your anti-virus software as a test.

Sorry no, it is really simple reading a file listing, it has been the same code for 15 years.

Regrettably, then, I must ask for a refund of the registration fee.
