    No Metadata available

    HI

Quite often when ripping I get no metadata for a CD. Right now I have Neon Indian Mind Ctrl in the process and although iTunes wants to add it to my library with all the correct data, CD ripper stays resolutely blank, no matter what metadata source I try.

This has happened on many occasions and I need to know where to go to save a lot of tedious data entry when the CD's are mainstream and other media handlers can retrieve the data??

It is this more than anything that will drive me away from what is otherwise an excellent softwars suite and comes highly recommended by Linn etc.

    Help?
    Thoughts?
    but more importantly
    Solutions?

    Mike

    Re: No Metadata available

    It's an entirely random thing

95% of the time I get metadata and cover art, but there are around 5% that do not pick up.

The weirdest one is when disc 1 of a 2 or 3 disc set will not pick up and disc 2/3 do.

I think the metadata search apps are not sufficiently broad to find all the discs.

iTunes has never failed to identify a disc that dbpoweramp does.

    many thanks
    Mike
PS think we simply need to be able to import more metadata search apps
