    ripping CD's as wave

    Hello

When I rip my music-disc as wave. It doesnt go to the choosen folder on my computer and also my NAS. I can choose Rock or anything other on the top of the "dbpoweramp cd ripper". After ripping the CD is stored only on the folders "unknown genre", "unknown artist" etc. not in the folders as "Pop" "rock" etc.

When I do the same while ripping as FLAC my CD in stored correctly in the choosen folders.

Can anyone help me on this?

    Many thanks for your answers.

dBpoweramp would not write 'unknown genre' so it is perhaps your UPnP server which cannot read the wave tags and is putting unknown.

Many thanks for your answer. What can I do? Do I have to change any settings? I actually use Windows 8.1 64-bit version.

        You have to either:

        1) rip to a format which your server supports, such as flac
        2) change the server

I'd strongly recommend that you use a different lossless codec, such as FLAC or ALAC. WAV offers no advantage over them (all lossless codecs are equal and identical in quality), and the metadata headaches are just not worth the trouble.

Im not so professional in Computer ;-) What you mean with "change the server"? I use Qnap TS-212P (latest model) as my NAS. You mean, that the NAS is the problem? A friend of mine use also a NAS from Qnap with the dBpoweramp and he has no Problem with ripping "Wave"-Format.

            Many thanks for your answers.

You could install Asset UPnP on the QNAP, this will read the wave tags.

Could explain me where I find this setting? I already made it in the following menu. Is it that what you mean? This will not solfe the problem. Many thanks for your answer!

This setting is unrelated to UPnP Audio.

It is a program you install, see the qnap instructions:
