Upgrade from dBpoweramp R15 to R15.1 - uninstall first?

Hi

I want to upgrade my registred dBpoweramp R15 to the R15.1 release. Going through http://www.dbpoweramp.com/registration/, I'm told to:

"Uninstall older version of dBpoweramp before upgrading".

Is that if I'm using an older generation (like R14), or do I also have to uninstall R15 first?
What happens if I uninstall R15 first. Do I loose my configuration settings and/or plugins?

It is best ti uninstall first, no settings are lost.
