Update check via proxy?

Hi folks,

OK, I configured my proxy using "Configure dbPowerAmp", and it works fine: I live behind a firewall that won't allow direct HTTP out, and still I get AccurateRip data or freedb. Good.
However, the update check at startup only appears to work if I temporarily open the Firewall (and permanently, I surely won't).
So: is the update check suppposed to heed the proxy settings? If no: upcoming feature?
