Dynamic Playlist Item Count - Upper Limit or Hard Value?

I have "Dynamic Playlist Item Count" set to 100. Today I created a dynamic playlist that only had about 30 unique items, and the resulting playlist had each song repeated at least twice in the list. Is the DPIC meant to be a limit, as in iTunes, or is it a hard value that must be obtained by duplicating tracks if necessary? If the latter, are there any math operands that can be used in the value field (like <, >, <=, >=, etc.)?

These songs are not the same song, but on 2 albums?

No, they are the same song being duplicated more than once.

      Cheers,

EDIT: Sorry I didn't reply sooner -- apparently I had my subscription notifications set incorrectly. (It's always something.)

        Update:
If I finish setting up the Dynamic Browsing playlist by choosing "[List Tracks]", then the proper number of tracks appear, and they appear only once (even if the number is less than 100). However, if I finish up by selecting "[Jukebox Track Selection]", then I get the problem of Asset filling up the playlist with duplicates until there are 100 items. Is this as designed? If so, then I'd like to get an Advanced preference item that would allow me to select a DPIC that specifies less-than-or-equal-to some number. Most of my listening is done with Dynamic Browsing and the Jukebox track selection, so this is a big deal to me. I hope it's important to other users as well, so that any time spent implementing it could be easily justified.

        Thanks,
        Jeff

          It is by design.

Thanks. Should I re-post in the Wishlist forum?
