    Question My LiteOn drive and Enhanced CDs

    Hello!

    I bought a new drive recently (LiteOn DS8A9SH) recognized as a Slimtype DVD A DS8A9SH and it seems like it has some problems with Enhanced CDs.
    Each time i try to rip an Enhanced CD in Secure Mode, i got more than 10000 re-rip frames on each track, the drive has difficulty to rip those CDs.
    It works very well with non Enhanced CD.

    Do you have some clues where the problem might come?

    Try to disable c2 pointers if they are enabled.

    c2 pointers are already disabled, those Enhanced CDS works well with my other drive ASUS SBC-06D2X-U which has correction offset missmatch.

    Must be a specific fault to this drive.

    Do you have the latest firmware? Is there a firmware update available for your drive?

    I don't know, i can't find any informations about firmware updates on this drive...

    Maybe you can check this out: http://www.liteonit.eu/en/download/firmware.html

    It seems, that LiteOn has a software package which you have to install to check the firmware and ist possible updates.

    Thanks for the link. I tried the Smartpack Utility, but it can't find any new firmware.
    This morning, i sent a mail to the support service of LiteOn about this problem.
