wma additional codec does not install properly

    Hi,

i just installed latest version DBpoweramp r15 and wanted to convert my wma files to mp3. Apparently, I needed to install the additional WMA codec on the codec central page which I did. However, problem is not solved. I still got the message: Error: Unable to load decoder for file type '.wma', codec not installed? visit 'Codec Central'. [dBCoreConverter::dBCoreConverter]

I am using Windows 7 - Windows Media Player 12

    please your advice
    Tks
    Alec

It is likely you have 32bit R14 and 64 bit R15 installed, see:

I have the same issue. I uninstalled V.14 and installed V.15, and cleaned the registry. I then installed the WMA 10 and it is not working

Check the link in my post above to make sure there is no dbconfig.exe left over, also note you cannot install the 32 bit and 64 bit programs to the same location, even if the 32 bit program has been uninstalled.

Thank you. The different install directory worked.
