      Thanks.

I guess you could implement that nicely in Configuration/Codecs/Advanced Codec Options/... ?
Save files as: popup with suffix variants.

For other codecs than .aiff it would work, too. -> .fla or .flac

Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter OS X Discussions

I noted yesterday that my copy is still not prompting me to submit my data to the AccurateRip database. On examining the window more closely, it says AccurateRip not configured. I went to their website to check out what key discs I could use to configure it, and tried ripping one, even though I had already ripped it using my Windows copy of CDRipper (Hard Candy by Counting Crows). Still says 'not configured'.

        What is the problem?

OS X is different to the windows version, on OS X it will only configure the offset for known drives in the database. There is a list of drives on accuraterip.com. That said the offset is not needed for accuraterip to verify rips.

Also OS X will not submit to AccurateRip.

Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter OS X Discussions

Thanks for the info. Just for your information, I am using the Apple Superdrive, except for the occasional (?Warner Brothers) CD which won't rip properly, in which case I use a LG DVD drive (can't recall the model no ATM, and it's in the loft!)

The windows version communicates fine with AccurateRip using these 2 drives, so I assume the problem is with OSX.

Is there a way to get the replaygain codec installed for the music converter? I used it allot on Windows and now miss it in OSX.

How will the new file structure (10.13) affect the program (if it will)?

What new file structure? You mean APFS? That should have no negative effect whatsoever on dBpoweramp Music Converter.

New here so sorry if not in the right place.
Want to set up CD Ripper to convert to FLAC and ALAC simultaneously. Where is the setting on OS?

Open up the CD ripper and in the bottom central section where you have placed an encoder (ie FLAC) there should be a box to select "add encoder"
If you don't see it make sure on the three tabs to the left the encoder one is selected

Then simply add another encoder ie ALAC

No box to check to add encoder on iMac, maybe problem with High Sierra

                          Hello,

I’m new here so sorry if not in the right place.

I‘m new to dBpoweramp (MAC OS X) and wanted to rip a XRCD to various formats, including DSD. I was able to find FLAC, ALAC and other lossless formats but not DSD. How do I rip to DSD format on a Mac?

I tried to find an answer in other sections of this forum but was not successful.

                          Regards

                            You cannot rip to DSD.

Okay, and why not? There is an add-on for Windows available. Why not for Mac OS X?

The Windows codec is a DSD decoder, not encoder. Encoding PCM to DSD, you are actually losing quality, DSD encoding is a lossy process.
