Converting flac back to wav adds unwanted id3 tags

    HI all

As in title, I´m converting flac files back to wav. In the process, dBpoweramp Music Converter (14.4) adds id3 tag. Original file only have something called bext v0 and I need the new file to be exactly as it´s original. File will be used in a hardware unit wich as it seems doesn´t like the id3 stuff. How do I remove the id3 tag info but keeping the bext info? Better yet.. How do I tell dBpoweramp Music Converter to NOT write the id3 tag, just the bext info?

Thanks, switching off the id3 stuff makes previous different file properties now be the same but... newly extracted file is about 5kb less than original. With id3 filesize got up by 2Kb. Don´t know if it´s a problem. The audio part of the file is of equal size and length. Things look promising. Will try it out in hardware as soon as possible.

      cheers

It is likely they had a RIFF padding chunk.
