So the initial beta will only be the MP3 Converter portion?

I don't think this is what Spoon has indicated. Why do you assume this?

Because he posted above that it will not be with the Ripper

but in addition to converting to mp3, dbpa converts to FLaC, WAV, OGG, mp3, aac, and others.... Are you asking whether the beta will include a Ripper or Converter section only?

I want to know if I will be able to rip cd's to uncompressed FLAC with the beta Mac version. My reading of Spoons posting indicates that the initial beta will not have this functionality enabled ie no ripper

Hello Spoon. So you're saying even the very first bare-bones verson of DBPA for Mac is still two months away, not a week or two as predicted earlier?

The converter one should be a week or 2.

I am excited for this to come out. I've been a PC user for 20+ years and have been using dBPoweramp for probably 10 years or so. I just switched over to Mac and found a lack of similar options available. Looking forward to trying this out (willing to be a beta tester...)!

Would love to beta test as well. Looking for a solution to my FLAC to ALAC conversion.
Looking to use replay gain on the FLAC to apply to ALAC converted output. I.E. yes, change ALAC volume. Soundcheck sucks on iPods/iPhones and is not album gain.

                            Hi Spoon,

please add me to the BETA tester list as soon the version with the included ripper is available!

                            THANKS

Spoon, if we have to sign up for beta (i.e. it's not public) please add me as well to the beta tester list.

                              Many thanks.

                              Regards,
