    Question Performance

    Hi,
I would use my Batch Ripper version with an Nimbie11 USB, and I have a few questions
    First are about performances
    I've got 1 PC and 2 Mac

PC with AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3400+, 2,20 Ghz
    2 Go
    Windows Vista Pro 32 bits

MacBook OS 10.6.8 (can run Windows)
Processor Intel Core 2 Duo2.2 Ghz
    4 GO DDR2 SDRAM 667 Mhz
    Disque SSD Samsung 120 Go

Mac Mini OS X Mavericks (can run Windows)
    Intel Core i5 bicœur à 2,5 GHz
    4 Go de mémoire
    Disque dur de 500 Go1
    Intel HD Graphics 4000

What kind of configuration is better to run the Batch Converter application with NIMBIE11 ?
How much rip of CD can I expect per hour ?

    Thank you

    Re: Performance

With a single CD drive ripping, it should make no difference, all your computers are modern.

Thank you for this point, Mr Spoon
    But what about productivity if I use NIMBIE USB3 with M-DISC driver = 14-15 CD/hour ?

+I've a lot of questions regarding the database

    • After a sequence of ripp, is that I get a summary of my work files, and what type of informations it contains (date, album, title ...? Could I export it in Excel ?
    • When I Ripp a new CD, the database reported if the CD is already present? If yes, Batch Converter would me dismiss the Ripp or another action??
    • If I don't use the same machine to ripp CDs, sometimes a desktop computer, sometimes a laptop, could I merge the two (or much more :lipsrseal !) databases ?

Wish U a good night from France

    Re: Performance

The drive is way slower than the interface, so USB3 or USB2 makes no difference.

In batch ripper you get a status log.
There is no skipping of cds if already ripped, they will be overwritten.
It is not possible to merge 2 computers in batch ripper.
