making an exact copy of a CD

I saw a thread about CDrs, and how they can show in accurate rip and thought I would ask this;

If I have a CD album that I cannot get an error free rip from, could I then make a copy of it by burning it to a blank CD, how would I make an exact copy & burn to a blank CD?

& then rip from the copy? or would the copy just copy all the errors from the original?

It would. None of those "CD clone" applications will improve.
