    Update 19th February

    * Fixed crash in IP address enum causing Asset not to work on certain devices.
    * Prevented playback stall while indexing library.
    * .AAC files are now supported.

    Hi Spoon,

Thank for that, downloaded and installed, I have set my watched media folder and saved, waited hit refresh and nothing, tried restarting and still nothing, it will not pick up my Music. :(

    I usual put just "/Music" in this box to pick up my files but it just seems to stick at;

    Asset UPnP: nas01
Library Contains 0 Tracks, 0 Albums
Version: R4.2 Beta; Functionality: Trial 30 Days Remaining

Any suggestions would be great, I have also tried all the refresh buttons below this.

    Thanks.

UPDATE!!! fixed it, not sure why but now I have to put /share/Music instead - oh well.

I did the same mistake, took some time to realize to put "/share" in front of the directory. Please fix this if possible, small thing but... you know.

Which Qnap model do you have?

Is there a /Music folder as well as /share/Music on your system?

    Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP

I have HS-210, by default it shows: /share/Multimedia/ & when I add my own directory I need to remember to add this /share in front of e.g. /Music

    Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP

Clarification: there is /Multimedia folder only, not /share/Multimedia/

    Hi,

whilst listening this morning using test10 just had two drop outs mid track, CPU/Memory looking very low, no errors in the logs and it is not currently rescanning.

so not really anything to go on I am afraid. :(

    Thanks.

The update in your log would happen 5 to 10 seconds into the track, as nothing else is logged Asset is running as it should, what are the details of your network and the file you are serving?

If you are still experiencing dropouts while the library is being rescanned, please post (or email) Asset library logs from the time period when the problem occurred, these contain info that is relevant to us also.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

I have a Netgear GS108, Qnap 219p, Draytek 2820n router and that's it from the network side of things.

I have tried minimizing the network a little however both devices go via the switch so the router is only used for DHCP.

I have a PC which uses Asset when not testing on the qnap which has no issues, also when using Twonky from the qnap which seems to be ok on the same files.

What sort of details would you require from the file? I mean it appears to happen on most files so I can't pin it down to one really - however it mainly seems to be FLAC's that I notice the problem on but most of my files are 24bit Flac.

If it happens on one track and I play the same track again a few times the problem might not happen again.

Let me know if I can provide anything further

    Thanks.
