    External CD Drive as default

I have a RipNas. Recently, the CD drive failed. I have purchased a new external CD drive. Is it possible to set this as the default CD drive, so that disks are ripped automatically when a new CD is inserted, using the Windows Home Server Console rather than the dbpoweramp CD Ripper utility?

    Thank you.

If you disconnect the old drive fully, and set the ripping mode to burst in the Ripnas.

      Thank you for your reply.

When you say "disconnect the old drive fully", do you mean physically? I have disabled the drive, and it no longer shows as a drive.

However, setting the rip mode to 'burst' seems to make no difference. When I insert a CD, ripping does not start automatically.

As long as the drive is disabled that is ok.

If ripping does not start, it is likely some accuraterip configuration which is getting in the way, and as the batch ripper has no GUI it is not possible to get around this.
