multiple genres and showing tracks

What's the deal with MMC supporting multiple genres but the tags aren't? I don't see a need for MMC to support the multiple genres unless you can have a view of a list of genres (which I believe Spoon mentioned in a future dAP) and then select which one to view. I really think that if we could see only certain tracks at a time when double clicking the genre or however it'd be implemented would be a great idea and helpful in many ways. Even searching through all tracks and filtering out whatever doesn't fit the searched criteria would be great. Just wondering if those multiple genres in MMC can be added to the tags.

No tagging standard exists to allow multi genres, MMC handles them seperately.
