Computer locks up if a track has an error

I recently installed db poweramp. When trying to use the cd ripper, if any track has an error, the software keeps counting like it is doing something. If I try to cancel the rip, it locks up whole pc causing me to reboot. It may rip all of the tracks showing a track that is 99% correct, then lock up entire system. Almost makes software unusable

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks - David

Such an action (lockup of PC, or sudden reboot) indicates either faulty hardware, or low level drivers.

On a normal Windows system, it is not possible to create a program that will reboot the PC as you describe. Check if any drivers can be updated, perhaps even firmware as well.

      Thanks for the reply -

PC does not reboot itself. Just locks up to the point that I have to reboot. Cannot do any function. Just spinning hour glass if I try to cancel rip
