    We will limit to 260, even though we can handle upto 65,000 chars internally, there is too much compatibility issue otherwise.

    I just want to say, I encounter this issue a lot. When you have to move file folders onto a new machine, you have to be very careful about length of file names and folder names.

    I became aware of this issue shortly after purchasing the product -- it is particularly acute for classical recordings. (I'm on version 14.4 still).

    From that point forward I would take preemptive action by shortening fields before ripping. Often the album artist field contains a lot of names -- which you can truncate easily. Anything from the album can be put in the comment section, and so will always be viewable.

    Sure it would be nice to have the complete name of the aria, but couldn't you look it up later online if you really need it?

    Long Path Tool sounds like a very useful tool. (I spent several hours transferring files and getting those kinds of errors recently, so I really could have used it.

    BTW, I am still loving dbPowerAmp.
