      Hi,
Is this fix, re album decrementing, to be applied to a Raspberry Pi 4.2 Beta version?

      Thanks,
      Simon

Yes but not straight away, we hold on a Pi (or OS X, QNAP) beta just for now as they have only just released.

Ok, happy to test when you make the update to the current Beta release I am currently running.

          Thanks

            Re: Asset UPnP R4.2 (Windows)

I've got some problems with upstream art on this release.
I'm running asset as a service on server 2008R2
using linn kinsky & kazoo as control points
On single categories I get no upstream art

With genres and composer etc I do get upstream art with kinsky but not with kazoo

            Any thoughts on this?

I have asked the same question on the Linn forum

            See below

Kinksky on windows and IOS displays upstream artwork as does chorus.

Kazoo on mac shows music notes with a slash across in stead of artwork.
Albumart displays fine for the album, just no upstream art for eg genre and composer.
I'm not excluding the fact that it is an Asset bug specially as you state you installed Asset 4.2 on Mac which is not a beta.

Are there some logs I can download to see what is wrong ?

Thank you for getting back to me on this.

Using the latest Asset server (4.2 beta), following a reinstall, upstream art is no longer displayed in kazoo.
It is still presented in kinsky and chorus
            Hi Audiokass2

I have just installed Asset 4.2 on my mac to test this and Artwork is displaying fine in the latest build of Kazoo. Are you still having problems with Artwork using Asset? If so, can you please elaborate?

            Cheers
            Iain

              Re: Asset UPnP R4.2 (Windows)

If one control point shows the art and one does not, the issue is 99% likely to be with the one which does not.

              >On single categories

So for an artist you get no upstream art?

That's right if the albumartis container has just one album and it is new, there is no album art, i've not done any recoding on it.

As for the control point and no upstream art.
Ian from Linn states that he does get upstream art running mac asset 4.2 which I can not explain if I assume the control point to be t fault... can you?

                  Hi Spoon,

I got the following reply from Ian on the Linn forum as to the missing upstream art, can you confirm his findings ?
Hopefully Asset can accommodate Linn Kazoo?

                  Thank you,

                  Lex

My bad, sorry, yes I had installed stable 4.2 on mac.

I quickly tried the Windows 4.2 beta there and indeed cover art was not reliably showing. However I think it's not Kazoo, I suspect it's an Asset bug with handing the "size=xxx" artwork query extension (we append a ?size=200 to the outgoing artwork requests to ensure more rapid loading of appropriately scaled artwork). Artwork requests with this query extension appeared to be getting a 404 not found response from Asset but when I then tried the same artwork requests without this extension they seemed to load fine.

                  Cheers

As to the single artist container not getting upstream art...
It miraculously has appeared, don't know why or how but after about 24 hours it appeared?

You can install over the top of 4.1 in XP and it will function correctly.
