    Exclamation AIF metadata problem

    Hi Spoon,

Here is a link to an AIF file I have processed in Platinum Notes which was originally ripped from a CD using dbPoweramp, there is metadata in the file however, for some reason it is not showing in the tooltips or Edit Tag dialog.

    Re: AIF metadata problem

The way AIFF works, it has an initial size set in the first FORM header, then it comprises of chunks, such as SSND for audio.

The total file size is 41,215,136 where as the size in the FORM header is 41,062,786 this indicates something has just been added to the end of the file, and the file not updated.

The ID3 chunk is there on the end, it is 152,342 bytes long, however our routines stop at end of file or when the indicated size = 0

Does that mean that Platinum Notes is not updating the file correctly?
