converting fmt chunk from 40 bits to 16

hello everyone. good to be here

does anyone know of a setting in dMC that I can "convert" a WAV file, but really only to change the fmt chunk size? I dont need to resample or dither.
I am dealing with an old Avid machine running on OS 9 that cannot deal with WAV files with a 40 bit chunk size. problem is, I have about 3.5 TB of WAVs like this, and other converter apps dont deal so elegantly.

    thanks

dBpoweramp Configuration >> Codecs >> Advanced Options >> Wave Encoder >> Write Extensible header 'never'

then convert Wave to Wave with all options set [as source]
