    Alac 24 / 96 to 16 / 44.1

I have some alac 24 bit 96khz songs which I want to downsample for playing on my ipod. Would be great if someone could help with how to get the settings right.

If I convert to AIFF 16/44.1 and try to sync with foobar to my ipod I get an error message that I can't sync file.

I am on Windows and have checked the file settings under properties. Any ideas?

You would use the DSP effect 'Resample set to 44.1KHz' and 'Bit depth set to 16 bit', you can convert alac >> alac (in a different folder).

I 2nd that. Most of my encoding is ALAC, and this is exactly what I do for higher-resolution sources.
