    cache setting

    regarding cache setting:

    1. if you set it @ 1024KB and the drive uses a 39KB cache, there is no ill effect for that is there?

    2. to put it another way, would it be correct to say that ripping would proceed normally, it just will not use the other 915KB of cache?

    3. if number 2 is correct, just out of curiosity, why have a cache setting at all?

    thanks

    Re: cache setting

    1. No ill effects
    2. It just reads a little more than it normally would
    3. Some people want a finer control where they know the exact cache size.
