When to restart

After adding new tracks to the music library, is it enough to click "Rescan Library Detecting Changes", or should one also click "Restart Asset"? Or neither? -- doesn't Asset rescan automatically? How often?

Under what circumstances is it necessary to restart? To rescan manually?

Asset should rescan automatically, however if your music is on an external NAS then you might have to "Rescan Library Detecting Changes"
