CD/DVD drive has failed - replacement options?

My RipNAS drive has failed with a CD in it.

I had to remove the drive and open up the top to remove the CD as the ejection mechanics were making a lot of noise but unable to do their job!

The drive is a TEAC DV-28SL-83 (part number 19771360-83). A quick search suggests this is no longer manufactured/available?

So, my post is to ask for suggestions to get my RipNAS back up and running:

    - Is there anywhere I can purchase the same drive ?

    - Is there a equivalent / replacement drive - of suitable quality - that I can purchase ? Which one will work best with dBpoweramp ?

    thanks,

    Richard.

Thank you for that: I had already emailed info@ripcaster.co.uk - and this is where I purchased my RipNAS from in 2009.

As yet though there has been no reply :-(

I am interested in what drive or drives (currently available) to use with dBpoweramp. I am planning to redo my entire CD library using DBPA into both FLAC & MP3 and my current LiteON drive seems to not have a great C2 implementation so recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I am in the USA.

    Thanks in advance!
