tag from filename only gives the last word of the track
Hi,
I'm using the 'tag from filename' codec to fill-out the tags of some aiff files. I'm using settings : \\[artist]\[album]\[track] [title].
The source files are in the format \\artist\album\01 ain't no mountain high enough.aif and the resultant tag is fine except the track title just shows as 'enough' (in this example).
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong please?
Thanks

There is a front to back option, or back to front, try toggling it.

Thanks for your reply.
I have tried this and it returns a tag with all of the field mixed up (though the tack field now has more than one word in it, including the path).
It seems that because there is no separator between track number and track title in the filename (like a "-") I can't tell it when the track names starts, so it just plays safe and takes the last word, right to left.
Any other ideas please?

Re: tag from filename only gives the last word of the track
Perhaps you could tell me how to convert from WAV to AIFF, and enter a hyphen between the track number and track title in the filename.
So from a source file of \\artist\album\01 yellow submarine.wav,
convert to
\\artist\album\01 - yellow submarine.aif
instead of
\\arstist\album\ 01 yellowsubmarine.aif
Then the 'tag from filename codec' can be told to take the track title after the hyphen.
Thanks

It is not possible to add this hyphen, unless there tags to base the filename on.
