    Deduplication to compress uploads

No one is quite sure how or what AudioSafe is doing. Its believed that there is significant deduplication going on server-side. I might suggest that you could get a huge bandwith savings if you "compress" the upload by performing deduplication on the user side. Seems as though it should be very possible on lossless files.

About a month in, I'm almost at 10% upload, so this is going to take a year if I don't add any new music?!

Deduplication on client side isn't necessary. I believe AudioSafe will not upload anything that already exists on the server. So if you already backuped the original, all the duplicates will be skipped.

And since it still on beta, don't expect amazing upload speeds neither that someone else already uploaded the same albums you have before.
