    Custom ID-tags

I have seen several post about producing custom ID tags but they refer to descriptions which I cannot find, is there a definitive instruction on how to do custom ID-tags so that I can create my own genre list.
I also want to use windows explorer (RH select - Edit ID-tag) to edit the tags.

    Re: Custom ID-tags

I can see how to create custom genre during the ripping process but I want to create a new genre listing so that I can edit my existing albums in explorer.
On a post it was said by spoon, under file select edit id tag, I cant see file anywhere in dbpoweramp, am I missing something?

If you type a new genre into the genre box, it is remembered for next time.

    Re: Custom ID-tags

OK I see how to do that in the process of changing the tag of an album or track by a right click in explorer but this assumes I want to change that feature. What I would like to do is edit the list / file where all the tags are stored so I can apply my genres where required.
Where is the file? I have searched but cant find it.

Unfortunately not. Maybe on Windows only?
For example I write "Piano Concerto" or "Piano Sonata" in the genre-fild but if I insert a different CD and want to use, none of this New genre is shown in the list.

See post no. 5, you edit the genres.txt file.

I'm not sure if/where this file is located on the Apple OS.

On Mac OS, the list of genres is stored at:
    ~/Library/dBpoweramp/genres.txt

Great! I couldn't find that hidden folder but now it works.
    Thanks a lot!
