Custom genres

Decided to try AccurateRip converter tonight. Pretty sweet. Been using EAC for years. One thing that bugs me about EAC is that it limits the length of the genre field. It appears dMC is also doing this. Is this necessary? If it's not one of the standard id3v1 genres, you have to write an id3v2 tag and v2 tags place no limitation on the length of the name of the genre.

In the dMC Configuration is it set to write tags as 'Smart V1 & v2'?
