update 2: deinstalled successfully the CD-Ripper, not sure for the batch-ripper, which still shows in CCleaner, but unable to uninstall.

If explorer is freezing also (which runs non-dependant on dBpoweramp) it suggests the CD drive is internally crashing (or controller of CD drive), this is making anything which interacts with the CD drive to freeze or crash.

CD drives / controllers are never supposed to crash internally, you might want to investigate a different drive (or connected differently).
