Re: Ripped tracks show "Explicit" tag in iTunes

Any further word on R14.4, beta or otherwise? I'm another frequent user who's confirmed that both 14.2 AND 14.3 give a ripped FLAC file an [EXPLICIT] tag after it's been converted to Apple Lossless (for use in iTunes).

Still finding iTunes to be the friendliest, most aesthetically pleasing music player, I've been waiting on R14.4, beta or otherwise. (Again having confirmed that ANY FLAC-ripped track later converted to Apple Lossless then shows as [Explicit] in iTunes.) Realize you've got a lot going on, but still hoping~!...

VERY pleased to find R14.4 Beta, but as a Registered / PAID user was somewhat surprised to receive the message "Beta works until July 2013." Will there be a "regular" R14.4 release or are you moving to a new version entirely? As a sidenote, WHERE in dBpoweramp's interface can I find the version number? Thanks for a great product!

We always time limit betas, we have about 7 months to finalize r14.4

Fair enough. Would you mind indulging my curiosity by pointing out where I can find the version number in dBpoweramp's interface?

Thanks, I'd never even considered finding it in a separate program!

Ugh. I wish I'd noticed this. All my ALAC files have the EXPLICIT tag set. The only way I've found to remove them is a program called "Subler", but it doesn't support batch processing or anything, and there's no way I'm going to open each file, do a couple of clicks, and then save the file x hundreds of songs.

Do you know of any way of removing these tags? (I know how to hide them in iTunes, but they shouldn't be there in the first place, as you stated).

                    It's a real bummer!

Install r14.4 and you can edit the explicit tags

Dumb question: What do I need to edit in the tags to fix the Explicit lyrics issue when importing Apple Lossless to iTunes? I have upgraded to R14.4 beta.

There should be a tag when you right click >> Edit ID Tags:

                          Explicit: Yes

There's no tag "Explicit" yet the songs do show as explicit in itunes.

Install the [Update ID Tag] utility codec (from Codec Central), then convert 1 file >> [Update ID Tag], this will rewrite all the ID tags, see if that helps.

Still not working. I do as you say. Then I delete the album from itunes, then import it again, it still shows as explicit. I don't see any tagging that would cause this, nor does itunes have any options to remove the explicit labeling.
