Ok, I just bought the R14 Reference Edition and would like to know how to convert 24/96 WAV files down to 16/44 files without clipping.
Can anybody here help me with the settings I need to use in order to do this?
Thanks

Use the DSP Effect 'Resample' and Bitdepth set to 16 bit
There will be no clipping going 24 bit >> 16 bit as the bottom 8 bits are dropped.

Hi,
Two questions:
So set the Resample to 44100 and set the bitdepth to 16 bit, right?
What about dither?
Thanks
You can dither if you wish, there is the ability to retain more information when going 24 bit >> 16 bit.

In the DSP Effect 'Bitdepth' is a dither option, it is best this is checked for triangular dither when going 24 bit >> 16 bit

You would have to research this subject in google if you are interested, a one paragraph reply would probably not give a sufficient answer.
Search for TPDF dither
