    Are All Tags Created Equal?

Are all music track Tags created equal? Or are there different kinds of audio Tags?

I have an issue where the audio Tags on my Mac will show-up fine when I view them in a Mac Tag Editor. But when I attempt to view them using Right Click in Explorer (I'm using Parallels on my Mac) they do not show-up.

    1. Why is this?

    2. How can I get both of these methods to work at the same time?

    Thanks

For what file type? dBpoweramp does not read mp3 id3v2.4 tags.

Sorry about that: for AIFF & FLAC files.

What is the mac tag editor? dBpoweramp will read vorbis comments from FLAC and ID3 chunks from AIFF, which iTunes would also read.

I've also been exploring Media Rage Tag Editor.

Still curious why Tag show-up in my Mac versions, but when I look at them in Window Explorer using dbpoweramp's tool there are no tags?

Not sure what was happening before but I just rip a CD with dbpoweramp, checked the tags in Kid3 Tag Editor, and then checked the tags in Windows Explorer using dbpoweramp's tool, and all the tags were there including the artwork.

    Go figure ...?

dbpoweramp reads and writes id3v2.3 tags. If your tags were created as id3v2.4 tags, dbdbpoweramp will not read them.
