Some artists show artwork, some do not

When browsing Albums, they all show artwork / cover art. I have tagged them all using Media Monkey and a 500 x 500 jpeg called "folder.jpg" in each album folder. When browsing Artists or Album Artists only some of the Artists have artwork associated with them. For example, when browsing to The Smiths - Singles via Albums, I get art work. This is the only album by the Smiths in this collection. But when I go to Artists, the Smiths shows simply a folder icon, while Ron Sexsmith shows the Retreiver cover. Any thoughts on this would be welcome?
