When converting wave to wave resulting files smaller in size
Hello - I ripped a cd Dropkick Murphys the Warrior's Code (last track is a HDCD track) to uncompressed wave with two dsp set ReplayGain and HDCD which I had in the wrong order so reading on the forum it's just tags, I used the music converter to convert to uncompressed wave with correct dsp order but every track was around 20 bytes smaller?
I thought it might be cause the tags are different so I made a copy with all details removed and removed all tag information for each track and the size difference was still there.
In the end I just reripped the disc but I am curious why the lost of size?
Off-topic: I believe from reading the forum you can safely deselect the +6 dB Amplification if using ReplayGain or is it still beneficial to keep that checked?
Thanks

Yes unselect +6db if using replaygain.
20 bytes is nothing when it comes to tagging, I would not be concerned about such (the actual audio data will not be affected).
