    Decoding failure - corrupted file?

I've got an error in AudioSafe with a 6 channel, 24bit/96KHz flac file:

    15:34:00 : Could not process:
    H:\Asset HD 5.1\Artists T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z\Young, Neil\[1972-02] Harvest (DVD-A 5.1)\1.03 Neil Young - A Man Needs A Maid.flac
Reason: Decoding failure - corrupted file?

Can't figure out what is wrong with this file. Plays back fine in winamp and tags look OK. Any ideas?

you would have to test with flac.exe, where you can test a file. Winamp would likely silently pass any errors, where as AudioSAFE and flac.exe would not.

Yes, I can't open the flac in Adobe Audition. Must be corrupted. I'll try and rip it again.

... Have now re-ripped, file is now OK, Thanks, Spoon.

Nope, it didn't fix the file.

    Now, there's a surprise.

Re-ripping the corrupted file fixed the problem.
