The CODEC required to decompress 'xxx.wav' could not be opened.

When trying to convert a normal windows pcm wav file to mp3, I get the message >>The CODEC required to decompress 'xxx.wav' could not be opened.<<

I guess there is something wrong in my system, because windows wav files should not need any codec.

Any idea how I can correct this?

Some wave files do as they are compressed internally.

Hold the mouse over one of your files - it will tell you the wave file type.

I've just installed your program (which is nice!), and I also got the "The CODEC required to decompress 'xxx.wav' could not be opened." message.

I've found that your program can't handle 24bit files!!!
When I first convert the file to 16bit, it works fine. Please support 24bit files as well.

Also, but this is another matter, I get _lots_ of graphic problems. :-(

    Bye,
    Joeri

Sounds like you might have windows set to large fonts.
