    'An error occurred...'

Today when I tried to open 'COMPOSERS : Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart' I got this error message :''An error occurred retrieving content from this location''. Never happened before - what does this mean? Same message appears in other places, for instance In PLAYLISTS : New Albums and New Tracks; or in YEAR : 1786. What should I do ?

Which control point are you using? how it is connected to the network? do it always fail, if you go back and reselect the folder? what is Asset running on?

If you reselect one of the folders, does it work a 2nd time?

are you using Kinsky Desktop, or an ipad for control?

Try Asset Control as the control point:

Asset Control (a UPnP / DLNA control point) is billed as the control point you have been waiting for . In UPnP there are: Server / Control Point / Renderer, where the Server catalogues tracks, Control Point creates playlists from the Server and controls the Renderer (player), all 3 elements of UPnP could reside on the same

                  Re: 'An error occurred...'

Thank you Spoon: I am trying Asset control. The bugs I had mentioned seem to have disappeared. Now shall try to familiarize with the program (and shall read the discussions on the Forum). But just one thing : I've seen that on the playlist the files (of an Opera, for instance) numbered from 1 to....x are presented in this kind of order : 1- 10 - 11 - 11 - 12 -.....- 19 - 2 - 20 - 21 - 22- ....29 - 3 - 30 - 31.... Is it a bug ?

Are you viewing it through an album selection? Only then would they be sorted by track number, so try through Album >>

Yes, viewing through 'album' gives correct results.
Excuse the delay, I've been absent from home. I am now trying out Asset control: a great program, I think.
I have an issue : I have added some custom containers - 'Singers' for instance and 'Comment' (Label, date of recording and so on). Their content appears perfectly in the Library but I can't seem to be able to make them appear in Asset Control's Play Now display. Is there a way ? (I'll try to upload a screenshot).
Another peculiarity of Asset seems to be the fact that it has decided that PERFORMER is a synonim of CONDUCTOR. I had some thousand tracks tagged with Foobar2000, where under 'Performer' I had filed all the singers in operas : the result was that Asset picked just one name amidst the singers and offered it to me as 'Conductor'.

It is not possible to have custom tags appear on the display as the upnp server has to send over only standard tags.

PERFORMER is correct for CONDUCTOR, have a look at the vorbis tagging specification:
