    Secure Ripping fails

I'm using Win7 64-bit and a Samsung SH-S223C drive. It rips fine in Burst mode but crawls in Secure mode and eventually fails. I tried deleting the upper and lower filters in the registry with no effect, and I've updated the firmware to the latest SB06 version. If I look at the IDE controllers in Device Manager on the Advanced Settings tab to check for DMA mode, they are just blank: Nothing at all like the screen shots I have seen on the web.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Disable c2 pointers if you have them enabled.

Thanks for the advice Spoon, but it wasn't the C2 pointers. I finally solved my own problem after many hours...

I'm using AHCI but my Asus M4A88TD-M EVO motherboard allows the user to subdivide the SATA ports to assign different modes. Once I'd done this, and moved the cable to the respective SATA port, I was able to assign the DVD back to IDE and UDMA5, and all works well now.

      Thanks again, S
