The only indication of an error is written to the log file, no error = blank log file

Should I take it from that that there is only one return code?

Yes, the reason for the error is written to the log.

Thanks, but may I ask how then is CoreConverter.exe supposed to be properly usable from scripting environments? It is standard for command-line programs to indicate errors in the return code. Since it doesn't to that, CoreConverter.exe doesn't fit properly in everything from MAKE to PowerShell.
